OUR COMMITENT TO PROTECT MOTHER EARTH
Each business (Hotel/Resort) has the obligation to protect our Environment for us and our future generations to come by:
- Reducing / minimizing Waste, Water- and Electricity consumption
WHY ?
We do have only limited resources. If we will not now start to protect our resources, there will not be enough resources available in future and with the growing “greenhouse-effect” our nature will be destroyed
HOW WE PROTECT “MOTHER EARTH” and limit the “GREEN HOUSE EFFECT”
1. Reduce electricity consumption to minimize the Carbon Dioxide Emission through burning of fossil energy (Coal) in power plants:
- Installation of 100 kW of Solar Power to avoid Carbon dioxide production and emission from coal fired plants
- Installation of a centralized Solar Collector Heating System to heat up water (no electricity used)
- Installation of gas-fired dryer in our laundry
2. REDUCE FRESH WATER CONSUMPTION
- Installation of Water Conservation Technology by installation of Rain Water Collection tanks,
- Installation of high quality push buttons in our bathroom (leakage free). Water runs for up to 30 seconds only if button is not pushed again
- Installation of a “State of the Art” Water Treatment Facility Technology to clean and re-use the Waste Water we are producing
3. REDUCE WASTE, ESPECIALLY PLASTIC WASTE
- We do not use plastic bottles for drinking water and installed a refillable Drinking Water System
- We use straw made of glass, reusable
- We use eco-friendly bags for guest laundry
- We use in our laundry phosphate free laundry detergent
- We installed a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) to segregate the Waste into recyclable Waste (glass, hard pvc, paper)
- We use large refillable container for cleaning materials instead of small bottles and plastics
4. REDUCE FOOD WASTE
- We installed a biodigester system for our food waste to produce methane gas (for cooker) and fertilizer for our plants in the garden
WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Do not using plastic (especially one-way plastic and plastic bottles)
- Minimize laundry, try to reuse towels and bedsheets more than one time
- Avoid fast food with its immense waste production for food rapping
